| Ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Will I get a written scope? | It's the only way to know what each visit includes. |
| How often will you come, and on what day? | Consistency matters, especially if you're away. |
| Are you insured, and can I see the certificate? | Crews and equipment work on your property. |
| Who applies fertilizer and pesticides? | Florida requires FDACS certification or licensing for that work. |
| Is your designer a licensed landscape architect? | The titles aren't interchangeable in Florida. |
| Who handles permits? | Some irrigation, drainage, hardscape and electrical work needs them. |
| What happens to debris? | Disposal is a real cost; know if it's included. |
| How are changes approved? | No surprise charges. |
| Are your crews background-checked? | They're on your property, often when you're not. |
